Currency System
I am struggling to make yellow dye based currency system using hoppers and command blocks. my problem is that i have to take a specific number of items out of the hopper depending on what the player selects. is there a command or compact contraption that can remove items? (Commands would be ideal.)

its not exactually what i was thinking above. I made it so emeralds drop, i can trade the emeralds with a villager for "Keys" of varying price. Then i put em in droppers and- Yeah this is convoluted as f

Not sure about redstone, though I’m sure it’s possible. If you want a command, try /execute if data block <coordinates of where currency go> Items[{id:”minecraft:yellow_dye”,Count:<how much>}] run <command to run if there’s enough dye> Also, what if someone just makes a flower farm? Yellow dye is not a very good currency.
