So many genres, so many choices:
Apocalypse Now [original theatrical version]
Hot Millions (1968)
The Warriors (1979)
Red Dawn (1984) [absolutely NOT the scandalously crapified 2012 pseudo remake]
Howard the Duck (1986)
etc. etc.

Back to the Future
thats a good one
I have seen a lot of good movies. I am still waiting for something which will wow me. I like movies made by Christopher Nolan, I like Star Wars, Marvel, Star Trek, and pretty much anything sci-fi.

Since childhood, I have adored the Matrix trilogy (watch for free https://soap2day-1.com/). It has a very interesting plot, brave protagonists who resist evil and robotization with little or no hope. Unexpected plot twists and problems of society that we are likely to face in the near future. By the way, we need to watch them all in a row somehow.
I have seen those they are good
One of my favourite movies is movie "The Last of Sheila"
I have a few favourite movies that I could watch just about every day - the original Star Wars, Mad Max II, Excalibur, City of Lost Children, Ghostbusters, Little Shop of Horrors - probably a few more.
Guardians of the galaxy and Tangled
Lord of the rings is one of my best
Die Hard as well (the old ones)

Favorites of anything are by definition subjective, so I am not even going to try and convince anyone to agree with me. Heck, even my own feelings about any one film tends to change with my mood. But I love any movie that stays in my thoughts for a few days (or weeks, or years) afterwards. Some that have done that for me that I can think of as I write this are:
The Princess Bride (Inconceivable! ...But always a reliable pop culture reference...)
Slow West
Ex Machina
Hell or High Water
Mount St. Elias
Apollo 11
The Little Prince
In The Shadow of the Moon
Stand by Me
