NEW OMSK RESOURCE-PACK
Minecraft (java) 1.18.2
Current Resource-pack version: 1.0a
(Letters added on after version number = fixes, higher numbers = newer versions)

After halting all progress on the Slavia Project in February 2022, and the start of a new set of projects, I decided to revisit the idea of making a texture-pack. I had attempted to make a few before, however I was always unsatisfied with the look and daunted by the amount of work needed. This texture-pack changes all of that. Instead of remaking all the textures from scratch, this texture-pack uses the games inbuilt textures as a baseline. This is done by removing the textures of blocks that I never use, and replacing them with textures from blocks that I do use which don't have the shapes needed. For example:
: Birch trapdoor has its texture replaced with the white concrete-texture, in order to give me a thinner white wall to use in my builds.
: The variations of cut copper have been replaced with variously coloured concretes, giving me concrete stairs and slabs.
: There are also many new animated blocks such as the jungle logs (light strips) and deepslate iron ore (screen)
These are just some of the edits made over the last 5 or so weeks of work. I will continue to update the texture-pack, so make sure to favourite it to keep up to date.

The texture-pack is meant for a modern/futuristic world, and the textures reflect this.
This texture-pack is in no way survival friendly. You may stumble on rotary-fan blocks in caves or blinking traffic-lights in the nether. Keep this in mind!

This texture-pack is a prerequisite for my builds released after this pack (after 2023-08-28). You can view the builds without the texture-pack, but as my final picture shows, it will not be a beautiful sight to behold. All my future builds that utilise this texture-pack will have a link to this page along with clear text showing which version of the texture-pack the build is using.

* Please do not judge my building-ability based on the display-pics of this resource-pack. Those were built in 45 minutes or so each in order to be a sort of simple display of some of the textures, and should not be a representation of my building-capabilities.

Disclosure:

You are free to use this resource-pack in your own builds. You are free to edit the resource-pack as you see fit, and you are free to upload your own version of my resource-pack as long as a) it's done in good faith, so no uploads with poor quality or single-pixel edits, and b) has the link to this page visible in the page where you upload it.

I always make it clear that I am happy for people to use my builds for inspiration and this is no different. Enjoy.

Update #2, Version 1.2 - Glass and Reworks : by Markus_INC 05/19/2024 6:28:26 amtoday

Version 2 of the resource pack is now out

This version changes the glass-textures to work with optifines ctm, I am unsure how the glass looks without optifine at this time but I will post an update here when I find out.

This update also changes the .model files of the various .model of the stairs, fences, slabs, buttons, fence gates and walls of the blocks using the coloured concretes. This was done so that the base textures of the actual block-forms could be changed so that I could add even more textures in the future.
For example: the .model of the End-stone-bricks-slab (and the wall, stairs etc) uses the "white_concrete" texture, while the full end stone bricks block uses a new tiles-texture.

The crate-textures that used to be the acient debris and polished basalt have been moved to the bee-nest and beehive blocks respectively. This was done because I forgot the weird rotation of the former blocks, this way the crates are now stacked in the same direction instead of having their textures flipped around.

I also changed a number of other blocks, the complete change-list is in the text-file in the download.
